Paul Robert Schaefer

P. Robert Schaefer, 85, of Exeter Township, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 in the Berks Heim. He was the widower of Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Salada) Schaefer who passed away December 29, 1998. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Paul and Augusta H. (Hengen) Schaefer. Bob was a graduate of Drexel University and was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir. He loved being "Bob Bob" to his grandchildren. Bob loved running and ran the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta ten times. Bob was a manager for Allstate Insurance. After moving to Berks County, in his retirement, he worked for many years at the Dutch Colony Antique Airplane Restaurant. He is survived by one son, Paul R. Schaefer, Jr. husband of Bonnie of Grove City and one daughter, Diane L. wife of Rev. D. Michael Bennethum of St. Lawrence; four grandchildren, Christine, Kathryn, Noel and Stephanie. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Louise Fleischer. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in memory of Bob.
