Jean Michalak

Jean M. (Kennedy) Michalak, 71, of Reading and Savannah, GA, passed away, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in the Keystone Villa, Douglassville. She was the widow of Robert Michalak. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Hoyer) Kennedy. Jean was a graduate of Reading Central Catholic in 1963 and was also a member of St. Joseph R.C.C. in Reading. She started working as a school teacher for St. Mary's and then worked at many banks throughout the area as a teller. She was lastly employed as an exercise therapist for the elderly. Jean was pre-deceased by her daughter, Lora Angelillo. She is survived by her grandson, Robert; two brothers, Thomas M. Kennedy of Reiffton and David F. Kennedy of Ontelaunee Township and one sister, Margaret A. Kennedy of Reading. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 am in the St. Joseph R.C.C. 1018 N. 8th St. Reading, Pa 19604.
