Glenn D. Bearstler

January 12, 1952 — March 28, 2016

Glenn D. Bearstler, 64, of Exeter Township, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 in his residence. He was the widower of Bonnie L. (Ruth) Bearstler. Born in Reading, he was a son of Gloria (Roland) Kranis of North Carolina and the late Ralph D. Bearstler. Glenn was a graduate of Reading High School in 1969 and was a United States Marine Corp veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Glenn was a member of the VFW Post 6060, Elizabeth City, NC and was a retired member of the Leather Neck's Nation Motorcycle Club. He was employed by Dana Corporation for 18 years as a steel worker until his retirement. In addition to his mother, Glenn is survived by his children; David Bearstler of Exeter Township, Kimberly Robinson of West Virginia, Dennis Grieff of Reading and Todd Scheidt of Exeter Township; Eleven Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren; One Brother: Wayne A. Bearstler and Two Sisters: Gail Byberg and Tara Kearns. Glenn is also survived by his life long friends Kenny and Clyde. He was pre-deceased by his daughter: Bunny "Girly" Bearstler. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mt. Penn. The family will receive friends after the service. Interment private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 E. Bellevue Ave. Reading, PA 19605.
